The convertible ZR1 coupe and convertible suggested retail prices are R1 627 201,80 ($119,995 USD) and R1 681 444,12 ($123,995 USD) respectively. These prices do exclude tax and dealership fees but do include destination charges. These prices are a direct conversation and doesn't include possible carbon tax and import duties. Aside from fact the Corvette being left hand drive only and will never been sold in South Africa, it's interesting to see how much it might cost.

The Corvette ZR1 Convertible retains the same awesome LT5 6.2L supercharged engine as the coupe with a maximum peak power of 563 Kw (755 Hp) and a massive torque figure of 969 Nm (715 Ib-ft). The power is turned into speed via either a seven speed manual or a paddle shift eight speed automatic gearbox. Which is a first for the ZR1. The 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) is dealt with in less than 3.0 seconds and a quarter mile time in a high 10 second region with the eight speed automatic.

The convertible shares coupes two bespoke aerodynamic performance packages the standard features low wing which has maintains the great handling without sacrificing speed with minimal drag and will have a top speed over 341 km/h (212 mph).

The the second more track focused ZTK Performance Package includes a front splitter with carbon fibre caps, and is equipped with Magnetic Ride Control. The ZR1 is planted to the tarmac with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. The High wing rear spoiler is fully adjustable and generates 430 Kgs (950 pounds) of downforce. The top speed is just over  321 km/h (200 mph). All this is yours for the handsome sum of R40 613,94 ($2,995 USD).

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible is equipped with highly efficient inter cooled supercharger system. As well as General Motors duel fuel injection system which is a First for GM. The system uses a primary direct injection and supplemental port injection.

The LT5 has a 2.65 litre supercharger creates more boost while spinning a lower speed. For greater performance it reduces heat keeping the air cooler for the air intake. To keep the ZR1 Convertible cool, it's equipped with four radiators bringing the total to13 radiators.

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible takes elevates the Corvette range with two distinct, highly capable everyday track day cars for the road. Which looks menacing with it's aggressive styling.
